We are nurturing the minds of young learners, preparing them for future success.

We are proud of our many curriculum offerings, as well as the great accomplishments of our students. The success of our students is a reflection of the quality of education our staff continues to provide. Our teachers’ continued efforts to embrace and implement new programs and state mandates are the reason why our district is able to make progress. The district looks to the future as it embraces the ever-changing landscape of education and as well as maintaining financial stability, strong leadership, and quality education.

Our School

A part of the Sidney City School district, Northwood Intermediate serves more than 425 third and fourth grade students.

Northwood Intermediate has 18 grade-level teachers who teach in pairs, as well as interventionists, music and art teachers, a dedicated speech and language pathologist, occupational and physical therapists, and a dedicated school counselor. Additionally, Northwood is home to two cross-categorical/MD classrooms.

Students participate in a specials schedule that allows them the opportunity to learn more in the areas of art, music, library, physical education, and counseling/social-emotional learning.

Welcome to Northwood Intermediate School. I am excited to welcome back our third graders from last year who are now fourth graders and learn about all the new third graders coming into our school. Northwood Intermediate has a reputation of outstanding traditions. Using these traditions and wonderful staff we will continue to strive to meet the needs of all students to become the best school we can be.
